N.107 - Spiaggia delle Monache

In Posillipo there is a stretch of free beach nestled beside Palazzo Donn'Anna, opening onto the Gulf. It takes its name from the nuns of a now-closed convent who used to bathe here. You reach it walking down among the villas, between Mergellina and the open sea. This is Spiaggia delle Monache, one of the few free beaches in the city, where Neapolitans have long defended their right to enjoy the sea.
