The Napolitaner N.13 - Gennaro ‘O giurnalist

On the occasion of @nssmagazine's NSSX Homecoming event, this limited-edition illustration was created to depict the union between a newspaper stand and the traditional Neapolitan votive edicola. At the center stands San Gennaro, patiently awaiting the next customer, dressed in ochre and vivid red robes, positioned within a modern votive kiosk transformed into a newspaper stand. The background features an intense blue, evoking a nighttime atmosphere or a nearly sacred depth. Around the saint, shelves filled with magazines and newspapers blend with votive elements such as lit candles and small icons, creating a captivating syncretism between the sacred and the profane, tradition and modernity.
