    One line

The Napolitaner tells Naples in pictures: original illustrations, printed as fine art in its gallery on Via Duomo, Naples.

    One paragraph

The Napolitaner is an art project that tells Naples through the eyes of its artists. With a catalogue of 110 works signed by 97 illustrators from all over the world, every print belongs to an original collection that keeps growing: a contemporary view of the city, between art, culture and feeling. The project started online in September 2022 and opened the doors of its gallery and store in Naples in August 2025. Committed to local, small-scale making, every print is produced and packed in the workshop in the historic centre of the city, at Via Duomo 290/G.

    Half a page

In September 2022 The Napolitaner publishes its first original illustrated cover. Naples is already among the most narrated cities in Italy: the idea is to tell it again, but widening the story, building a bridge between tradition and the present, between past and future. For three years the project exists online only, with a social community that keeps growing and a shop that carries the prints into the homes of Neapolitans all over the world.

The catalogue grows through an open call. More and more artists want to join this visual journey into a new Naples. Curated and art-directed by The Napolitaner, the prints come to life, each one signed by illustrators from around the world.

Four years after the launch, there are 110 works and 97 published artists. The catalogue is a tribute to the history and the present of Naples, a bridge between eras that bears witness to the resilience of the city and its people. The most recent release is number 106, “Cient’Anne”, from 31 July 2026, marking the centenary of Napoli football club.

In August 2025 the Via Duomo 290/G store opens: since then production sits alongside direct contact with the community, a gallery that is also a workshop, open every day. In February 2026 the website too is rebuilt in-house.

Alongside the catalogue, The Napolitaner has worked from the start with brands, companies, institutions and organisations rooted in the city, bringing its own mark and carrying the story of Naples forward with those who share the mission. Among them: Warner Music Italy with Geolier, Kimbo, Voiello, Circuito Cinema and Cinema Metropolitan, the Pio Monte della Misericordia, the Associazione Luciano De Crescenzo, NSS, Latteria Sorrentina, #CUOREDINAPOLI. In March 2026 it publishes its first book, “Napoli come vuoi”, with SEM Feltrinelli: fourteen writers telling the city they live in, in an original guide illustrated by The Napolitaner.
